Some 90 secondary school students gathered at the Ramada Inn on May 4 to participate in a workshop designed to help young people realize their fullest potential and become socially involved. The session started with an overview of the work of Free the Children and Leaders Today co-founder Marc Kielburger. Students were then led through a series of activities in smaller group sessions. The workshop was generously supported by the local school Board.

More than 500 teachers, local community groups and students filled the Centennial auditorium to hear two of Canada's most outstanding speakers and humanitarians: Stephen Lewis and Craig Kielburger (Marc Kielburger could not attend).
